Due to daily experience we are trained to recognise certain sounds. We have a picture of their characteristics, how they "sound". Playing sound slower will change this characteristic. Details in the time behaviour become suddenly resolved and the temper of the sound is changed.

Different sounds are presented, replayed at normal speed and at a ten times slower speed:
- a old printer,
- a paper torn in two pieces,
- a water drop falling into water,
- a coin falling into water,
- a clap between hands
- a popped paper bag,
- an egg falling on a wooden cutting-board.
